Q: How can you create websites so cheaply when I get quoted more from other people?
A: We Build Websites' basic ‘all-in’ prices are based on one of a number of ‘master’ layouts that we use to start. (The master layouts are shown on our Portfolio page. Some are websites we've developed and are online and some are designs that give you a good idea of how our designers work and the quality of website design that we can offer you.) We then brief the graphic designer with your design brief who might use one of the master layouts for guidance purposes account for your needs. In most cases our ‘master’ layout styles will suit your needs perfectly and with a little bit of design to make it bespoke to you. This way, the the costs are exactly as quoted.
Q: The prices say ‘From’ when might the costs increase?
A: If you choose a website, but need additional functionality that isn’t specified for that product then we can add it for you, but there will be an additional cost. Let’s say you request the BASIC site, but need a Google Map embedded into the site, then that is extra cost. We would let you know how much extra that will be before any of the work is carried out and you can decide whether to proceed.
Q: What is the process for building my new website?
Q: Why do I have to pay a small fee each month?
A: To make We Build Websites competitive, we offer an affordable payment method that would help our customers plan their cashflow. As a result, we offer a low up-front costs which covers some of the set-up cost of getting your online. After that, your monthly fee covers the remaining set-up costs, website hosting on our servers, any assistance or technical help you require, our admin costs to update the software and it covers our overheads to ensure that your websites are as secure as possible.
Q: How much notice do I have to give to terminate my contract?
A: You don’t have to give notice. Ideally you will let us know if you no longer wish to have your website online, but if you stop your payment (we will check with you) but assume that you have made alternative arrangements and take your website down.
Q: What happens if my business runs into difficulty and I can’t pay my monthly fee.
A: Talk to us first if you find yourself in financial difficulty but want your website remain online. We will do everything possible to ensure that you can continue trading.
Q: I don’t know anything about technology and computers – can I get help from someone?
A: Our website content management systems are very easy to use. However, if you just don't understand (even after looking at our online ‘How To’ Videos) OR you don’t have the time to do it yourself, then we have a team of people who can talk to you, write website copy, optimise your images so that your website is up online as soon as possible. There will be a modest extra charge for this and it varies, depending on how much work is involved.
Q: Do I need to allow for VAT on top of your prices?
A: For a limited period we are able to trade without registering for VAT. This period will come to an end soon and our prices will need to go up to reflect the current rate of VAT.
